I was wondering if they were. Cause there were many indications of them liking each other. I just find that kinda disturbing because he was a kid when she was an adult. I know age shouldn't be a problem but this is like within the family kinda.
Wanted to know if anyone else have anything to say about it.

the way i saw it was years ago wiykit and Lion-o were meant to get married in an arranged ceremony. the whole noble keeping in the bloodlines type of thing. when lion-o aged and Kit didn't that torpedoed that idea. i imagine that if he ever did get with cheetara. it would be out of necessity then an actual love match

Cheetara was quite a bit older than Lion-O, so if they hooked up she'd have to change her named to Cougara or something.

Seeing as Thundercats first aired in the 80s, I assumed everyone on this board were probably all grownups by now.

It was a cartoon that was made for kids, In the 80's. I very much doubt that the producer where trying to show a sexual relationship between any the characters.

yes they were. once the show stopped, they ended up living in a trailer park and he worked while she went all Peggy Bundy and had a litter of kids.

I remember reading that the writers were leaning in that direction.
But didn't Lion-O hook up with someone called Lynxana in the comics? Then the Thundercats sequel comics by Wildstorm a few years ago paired Cheetara with Panthro? You have to forgive me I'm really behind on these matters.

Tygra and Cheetara does seem the most likely pairing, I must say.

Lion-O and Cheetara a good fantasy for the T-Cat fans, but its not right and they don't match however. Tygra and Cheetara are about each others age anyhow or so they'd be better off together. And while Cheetara might tease the young prince lion-O from time to time in the early episodes (especially in the pilot), she'd have more in common with Tygra. And Bengali's also suited with Pumyra in that regard too. So i reckon for relationships in the old series, you could take a look at the ones from the Marvel-Star comics.
Lion & Lynxana or Panthro and the Warrior Maiden (the one he saved from Rockmen). Far as anything beyond the group relationships already established somewhat ya know?

I always noticed Tygra and Cheetara associated more together than any other pair of Thundercats. Of course, this may be to do with the chemistry between Peter Newman and Lynne Lipton, which was more a result of their playing the Thunderkittens.
shareWell I don't really have a preference at this point, but I think the biggest obstacle between Lion-O & Cheetara being an 'item' is that he's a kid in a man's body. You have to wonder: is he even mentally or emotionally capable of handling a romantic relationship?
Though I guess if he hadn't been warp aged he might have ended up with Wilykit after they both hit adulthood.
I've always though that Lion-O and Cheetara would have gotta together, but if Lion- O get with WilyKit then whom would Cheetara get with Pantho?
shareI think Cheetara and Tygra liked each other - in the first episode when the group was standing together and Jaga talking about them, Cheetara puts her hand on Tygra's arm and winks at Lion-O facing them. They're always touching each other's arms and shoulders in at least a buddy-buddy kind of way, always really close to each other. If they weren't secretly in love, they're certainly the best example of best friends.
