Not like the 2012 version of Silent Night which was based on the Covina massacre.

Original producers are on board.

Orwo Studios and Black Hanger Studios have required the rights to the 1984 film.

Damien Cain, writer of the Halloween 2023 reboot "Michael" is said to have a few interesting treatment ideas for the film.

Silent Night, Deadly Night with no doubt has the best creativity on making a murderer . The only slasher you felt for the poor Billy character. Too bad the sequel did not live up to its original.

Stop remaking movies that don't need to be remade. There is NO reason to remake Silent Night, Deadly Night. If the young generation can't watch an older movie without pining for a character in the movie to have a fucking cell phone or something, they don't have the sense to appreciate movies in the first place.

I think we need this to be revisited

Some treatments from what I was told were a different plot but same Billy character, other ideas floating around was a remake of the sequel. I'll let you know what I find out.

Not really, i get what you are saying, example THE OMEN remake was exactly like the original zzzz, but remakes like Dawn of the Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacre a bit different.

If people want to see something different, do something different. Something new. Don't hide behind the name of a well-known movie just to bank off the older movie's title. That's cheating, frankly. The best filmmakers and the best films are the ones that take risks.

I assume the remake's plot will be similar, except the time peroids would be changed from 1971 and 1984 to 2011 and 2024.
