How old were you when Purple Rain came out?
I was 2 depending on the month (born in June 15, 1982). My first memory of this movie was in 1986 I was 5 years old.

shareI turned 17 in '84 and saw it in the theater upon release.
shareI had just turned 11 seven days prior to the release date, and I wanted to see that movie so bad. I wasn't able to see it until it debuted on cable, but we didn't have the channel on which it aired. So, the first time I saw the movie was by way of a scrambled channel. I have no idea when I actually saw it non-scrambled. My sister got to see in the theater and I was so pissed.
shareI was14. And somehow, where I live, I was allowed in to see it with friends the same age even though it was rated R. We must of saw it atleast 10 times while it was playing. Then the following year I was lucky enough to see him in concert. Amazing time...Amazing memories.
