Does Nancy think that Freddy is still alive?

Nancy describes the murders as though each one is fully applicable to real time. Does she believe that Freddy has a clairvoyant ability to enter dreams instead of haunting those? She says that she wants Donald to handle the slasher, but you can't arrest ghosts. By that time, Nancy has been informed that Freddy is dead, so maybe she thinks that the parents are mistaken about killing him.

Didn't the part where she asked her father to take care of him happened after she came up with the idea to bring him out of the Dream World with her? She was making a plan.

Thank you, PaladinNJ. Yes, it does, but the point is that Nancy expects Freddy to be arrested, and I'm not sure how that fits in to the story. Does she think that forcing the man out of his realm will biologically reanimate him, or is her belief that he has never died in the first place?
