Things you gotta love about this series...

This is by no means a comprehensive list but...

- Letting the guy with anger issues wield an ax! (Vic in Part V)

- A whacked-out mother and son team from the boondocks (Part V). And the son is a GROWN man!

- A couple speared to the bed while making love. (Part II)

- A girl yanked out of her slippers! (Part VI)

- Jason bouncing a girl off a tree in a sleeping bag (Part VII)

- A man doing play by play broadcast of his own death (He's killing me! He's killing me!) Part IV

- A 12 year old hopping on a bulldozer (Reggie) and skillfully operating it! (Part V)

- Jason taking the tea kettle off the stove after ramming an ice pick through Alice's head. No sense in burning the apartment down. Just needed to complete a quick murder... :) (Part II)

- No wiping after using an outhouse! (Part V)

- Drinking while dumping (Harold in Part III)

- Shoving a road flare down someone's throat and lighting them up like a Christmas tree (Part V)

- Jason going after a guy with a weed-whacker (Part VII). Don't call him to do your lawn!

- Not one, not two, but three scenes of gratuitous nudity (Part V)

- Not one, not two, but three scenes of nudity by the same actress (Judie Aronson in Part IV)

- Paramedics that flip through adult mags while on the job! (Part V)

- Jason pushing a girl's face through an RV wall (Part VI)

- Jason's neck snapping like a twig after being hanged in a barn (Part III). Of course, it turns out to be an unsuccessful solution...

Plus countless others...

I see that most of the ones I listed are from Part V. No wonder it's my favorite of the series! :)

I love how men are always portrayed as such womanizing(Axel in the final chapter), perverted horndogs in this film series. I mean my gosh, it seems like every guy in this whole series is either a guy who wants sex or has sex. I love how Axel watches his lust filled, unbelievably and strangely erotic aerobics program. I never understood how an aerobics program could be so damn sexy and overtly erotic. I mean, there didn't seem to be really any difference between that video shown in the final chapter and a soft core or hardcore porn scene before they get to the sex. for instance, a girl working out in a gym or a girl doing yoga before having sex with a guy in a hardcore porn video nowadays.

lol at the funny thing you said about how Jason takes the tea kettle off the stove after killing Alice. that was well put by you in a funny way. I know exactly I noticed that and thought that was weird. why would he care about the apartment burning down? he has some kind of morals or something? or he cares about an apartment?

yes, most of those are epic scenes. I love so much how in the final chapter Judie Aronson shows her boobs, not once, not twice, but three times???!!! I mean this record will never be broken in a horror movie. because there will never be a reason for a girl character in a horror movie to show her boobs 3 times. and exactly there is not one, not two, but three gratuitous scenes of nudity in part 5. one of those scenes always surprised me because why would the innocent red haired girl show her boobs and be nude in bed? I mean that went against slasher film conventions. usually the innocent or virginal girl doesn't show nudity and doesn't do something wild or provocative and naughty like sleeping in the nude.

One should never wonder why Judie Aronson showed her breasts 3 times in this movie. One should wonder why she only showed her breasts 3 times in this movie. You know how she was a very hot and sexy woman, right? She seemed like a fun free spirit.

As to the nudity breaking tradition in Part 5, that's all part of Part 5 being one of the greatest American woke slasher films of all time.

I like it in The Final Chapter when Jason comes crashing through the walls of Tommy's house. Reminds me of The Shockmaster's WWF debut (see link below).

I think The Shockmaster was pushed through the hole in the wall in that one appearance he did make. Edit: Didn't scroll up...glad to see someone linked to that video gold.

Well The Shockmaster was my favorite wrestler because he would wear the helmet of a Stormtrooper and they were my favorite characters in Star Wars. In fact, I'm going to youtube right now to see his WCW debut again

Nice list, there are so many more to add. But I will add these two.

Jason being fooled into thinking a hot 20-something year old is his mothing because she put on his mom's sweater (part 2)

Tommy Jarvis and his family not knowing or caring that there is a serial killer on the loose in their town (Part 4)

"Rob’s death scene is one of the most unintentionally hilarious in series history, as his response to Jason’s knife repeatedly entering his body is to scream, “He’s killing me! He’s killing me!” as Trish continues fleeing. Who would really respond like that? Well, as it turns out that was inspired by a newspaper article Joseph Zito read about a stabbing incident on a New York City street in which the victim screamed, “Please stop hurting me, please stop killing me!” yet no one nearby intervened or called the police. The idea was for Rob’s screams to highlight how merciless Jason was, killing a rather noble character who not only sought justified vengeance but was also the love interest for Trish. Thus, Trish can hear exactly what is happening and either rush to Rob’s aid or flee, but instead she initially runs away only to return due to overwhelming guilt. It was all supposed to be so gut-wrenching, but instead audiences simply roared with laughter, perhaps thinking the Friday the 13th series would now feature the victims all providing play-by-play commentary for their death scenes."

A few to add....

- Literally having your head punched clean off (part VIII), or

- Literally having your heart punched clean out of your chest (part VI...sorry Horshack)

- Major props to Crispin Glover's sick dance moves (part IV)

And, there should be an honorable mention anytime you can turn an unassisted triple decapitation (part VI)
