Her name is Chani, and no, Paul did not marry her in this movie, nor did he marry her in the book, the miniseries, or any other iteration of "Dune." He also never "dumped her" for a stranger. In all versions of "Dune," Paul married Princess Irulan for political reasons, but it had nothing to do with love, and was not done to offend Chani.

Chani was his true love, and she was his real wife in everything but name. Paul never loved Irulan and only married her to secure his claim to the imperial throne. He never bedded her, hardly ever spent time with her beyond talking and political meetings, and the one time she threatened to get pregnant by another man, he threatened to have her garrotted.

In every version of "Dune," save for that last crap movie, Chani understood why Paul had to make her his concubine and marry a woman he didn't know or love. She didn't like it, but she knew he had to do it, and she was always secure in knowing he would never dump her for someone else.

The last film was extremely stupid in making Zendaya behave like a bratty little girl when Paul announced he was marrying Irulan, and then she runs off to ride a worm and be a little bitch.
