I was shocked to see such a low rating for this movie. I myself give it a 10 with only Dumb and Dumber, Casino, Scarface, and Tommy Boy. I thing that for a 1984 movie the effects are pretty sweet and it's Arnold, enough said. I know I'll take heat for this opinion, but I think I'm kinda smart and own over 300 DVD's so I do have some justification.
shareyea i give it an 8 i liked it but the first was a lot better because i thought the second was more silly and the wrestling scene is so funny because it was so awful ... but it had its moments and i enjoyed it but i just thought the first was better
shareI think script wise it's a definite 6/10. Much more cartoonish than 'Conan The Barbarian' and there was an obvious attempt by the filmmakers to get the kids on board with this one. But that being said, it's a solid 9/10 in terms of entertainment. It's not terrible, and it's not great...but it's a decent film in it's own right despite it's obvious problems.
share8!?!!? lol this movie was absolutely awful. Compared to the first one this could be one of the worst movies made. It's campy and just really stupid (and NOT entertaining, liek the first one). And sorry I own over 1,000 dvd's and that doesn't make me an expert either (just like the OP) lol

While I like Barbarian. I would give this a 7. Its not great. But its not horrible like most claim. It seems nowadays if a movie doesn't have an emo protagonist sitting in a dark cave crying about his somewhat girlfriend then it can't be enjoyable or good. Really if this is the worst movie ever. You haven't seen enough movies. Ive seen far worse movies then this. I try to enjoy movies for what they are. Not bitch about what they are not.
