Is it absolutely sick for a 26 year old guy to like this show

Ehh, stfu starships lol.

I was born in 81, and there was plenty of Punky on TV for me when I was a young boy. And, at the time, I was too young to have any idea that the show had been made years before, so I didn't care about that. All I knew then, is that Punky was my life, and I can honestly say that at that age, I truly fell in love with her.

It had been years since I had seen an episode, but I just saw a couple that were posted on youtube (crap quality, I know), and it brought me right back.

Honestly, I did feel odd enjoying it as much as I did, because even though I am much older now, I still love her for all the same reasons that I did as a child. It was like I was six again.

I hadn't bought any of the DVD's worried that I might shatter a part of my childhood by watching it again and realizing that it was just stupid television that I loved so much as a child and realize was plain dumb now that I am an adult, but this show is still as great as it was for me so many years ago.

So, having said that, I will be buying the DVD's and I will laugh at anybody who laughs at me :)

That's kind of rude. Just because a show was on before someone was born, doesn't mean they can't like it. There's lots of shows that I discovered when they were re-runs/in syndication decades after they were done with first run.

Bitch who gives a damn if the show was before our time. If we saw it in reruns who gives a damn, the show touched people of all generations and ages, so get the stick out of your crack. Don't tell me you never watched a show that wasn't of your generation, you'll be lying if you say you never did. If it was an 80's show, it didn't stay in the 80's. Now put that in your pipe and smoke it bitch!

I live in the UK and have never heard Punky Brewster. I don't think it has ever aired in the UK, however, I've seen these episodes of Youtube and I must say I do love the show. I know its basically based on a girls life, but the only reason I watch it is because I am a big fan of George Gaynes who played Henry and how I love to think of Punky Brewster, is the Father-Daughter relationship.

I am a 25 year old Young Man and I don't really care what people think of me if Punky Brewster is more of a girls programme. I'd rather see it as a family comedy, escpecially for both boys and girls because it has a mixture of young and old.

I was born in 1985 and remember watching this show in syndication. Actually, I even thought the show was still new when I watched it.
