Sorry - I just posted a message in a new thread, not realizing there were so many others who knew this show. Yes - please keep us ALL informed on when the Dregs will reunite for the "Honed Bones Tour 2006" - the Dregs Return

I saw the first episode of the Dregs and never got to see the conclusion - I've been so unfulfilled - I would love to see this on DVD!

I absolutely loved this show when I was a kid. I, like everyone else, couldn't understand why this show didn't go further. Jason Bateman was like a child acting genius. Karen Kaye? was his hot mom. And of course, Steve, from Married w/ Children as her boyfriend, and Bateman's objective was to find mischievous ways to rid of him. The Dregs? Is that the two part episode where Bateman orchestrated a fake rock band with skeleton-like costumes? Everyone should check this series out. Bateman's character was one of the best characters in sitcom history. This show had genius writing. Lets get this on DVD!

I did love the Dregs. This is also the show that gave us "chucky is enchanted"...which is a term I still use today to describe certain people. Nobody ever gets it.

reply

The Dregs were the best, I don't think I laughed so hard in my life. Except for the Steve Martin special and the part about Stonehenge.

reply

Oh, I remember the Dregs! I was a little kid. When it showed the band playing, the audience loving it, and then it cut to Eli the fat kid controlling the whole thing with wires, I laughed so hard I woke up my baby brother. Would LOVE to see this show again, especially after Bateman's career resurgence.

I'm really surprised to see so many people have posted under this forum, and that so many people fondly remember this show. I too wish this show would make it to DVD, I'd love to see it again.

Now go get your shinebox.

We need a DVD already...I've been checking this section for years!!!

I think it would be neat if TV Land did an "It's Your Move" marathon, along with marathons of other short-lived, lesser known TV shows. That way if it doesn't come out on DVD we could at least record it.

reply

Just find someone to trade with you. I was trading with a great person a couple of wrestling stuff and he threw this series free of charge. This show is great.

I keep coming back here, from time to time, to see if it's been released on DVD. Doesn't look like it yet.

WISHFUL THINKING.....The one way I know that this show can get a DVD release is if Jason Bateman's marketabilty skyrockets.....after Dave Chappelle's show took off there was a DVD release of a short-lived (and somewhat corny) show he did called "Buddies"......so here's hoping "Hancock" makes Bateman a major name so we can see a DVD for "Its Your Move"

Maybe contacting Jason Bateman would help get a DVD set out?

The rock VJ who claimed to have known the Dregs' bassist was none other than original MTV VJ, Nina Blackwood.
