Only 20 years separated this film from the original TV show
I happen to be watching the original “Kick the Can” episode which was one of the segments they remade in the 1983 movie. I was about 17 or 18 when I saw that film at the theater. Twenty years at that time in my life seemed like ancient history. But it has been about 40 years since the movie was released. Now I’m almost as old as the seniors in the episode.
