Most Depressing Scene

For me at least, it's the painfully short shot of the playground and the unused swing sets, because there are no more children to play on them.

i remember when i was 7 my mother freaking out about the boy when he was bleeding out his bottom, that freaked her out so much. i rented this movie on friday oct 17th 2008 and after watching arround 10pm it didnt hit me yet, driving home after a night at a small local bar i saw the city structure and small thoughts about the children in the movie. i completely broke down in tears cried for 5-6 hours slept for 5 hours cryied another 5-6, it was the first cold day of the year aswell maybe that effected me. i need to point out i havent cried in about 7-8 years until seeing this, through the loss of friends and family i was never able to cry. i let out 8 years of tears in 1 night.

Depressing Scene are so many in this movie
oh my god they are all so subtle yet powerful coming to your mind when you get a chill is a diffrent vision you barely grasped in the viewing of the movie, if i had to picke one i couldnt do it.

although i would say for me it was 1 of these 2

watching the movie it was brad the older boy dancing with his mom then the home movie playing

in retrospect after seeing the whole film
The daughter going thourgh the family photo album leaving us with joy that they were talking about the good times, then the mother explaining sex the daughter saying not for me. only realizing later that the girl was sick and knew she was dying

For me, it was the end of the Pied Piper play, when the parents applaud sad and in tears, as a clear message that their children, the representation of the future, were as doomed as they all were.

It is a powerful, cautionary message.

The Whole movie was depressing, but I'm w/ you the empty swing sets on the play ground, but the homemovie scene made me cry!

When Carol was bathing Scotty and she lifts him up and you can see in the mirror's reflection that there is blood on the towel. So sickening and heartbreaking. There is nothing she can do for him.
