Harold Ramis?

When we first see wolff's ship he gets a message about his rent and his ex wife the voice sounds like harold ramis, anyone else think so?

reply

Agreed - definitely Harold Ramis. Good ear!

So, is that Ernie Hudson I heard in the movie too?

This movie is dated 1983. Ghostbusters is dated 1984. I think the pieces were falling in place for ghostbusters with this effort.

reply

That was Ernie you actually SAW in the film.
It's because of his starring role in this that Reitman gave him the role of Winston in GB.

Now if only they'd have kept a bit of the shiny uniform in the carry-over to "Ghostbusters", that might have been a sucessful movie too!

reply

Both movies also share Robert Fernandez in the music department.

I had this movie playing in the background and there were several scenes where the ambient music had a "spooky" theramin-type quality and I though "Did they lift that track from Ghostbusters?"

Despite being released a year earlier?  

I came on here to post the same thing. With the exterior shot of the ship floating in space and Harold Ramis' voice, I was reminded of the smiley-face ship from Heavy Metal.

"The Bazooka Goblin has you in his sights!"

reply

Well, since Harold Ramis is listed as part of the uncredited cast, who would I be to try to disagree?

reply

I never believed it myself.
I can hear similarities, but the voice doesn't sound enough like Ramis to convince me and I don't know the official line on it yet.

It's only listed because someone in a now deleted post above declared that they'd added him to the list.
