Great film to watch during the month of October.
yup.
shareHere here. I just watched it too.
shareVery appropriate! The Fall Carnival! Best of all it is actually about the season and not just a horror movie.
My friend and I recently recorded a podcast about the topic.

Giddy-up, goat!
I think it would be just as good any month, but I know most people only watch horror around Halloween. People like me watch it all year round.
shareI just watched it for the first. I didn't love it, but the second half was pretty good and I loved the opening shots of the fields and the pumpkins and the lake.

I agree. One thing I liked about this movie is the way it sets up the background atmosphere of late fall - many shots of fall foliage reflected over water, the pumpkin patch, the gusts of cold air blowing fallen leaves around, etc. It really takes the viewer into late October in the American midwest, almost making the season itself a main character in the story.
shareIt absolutely is an excellent Halloween film as it packs that great Autumnal quality.
shareI watch this every October. It's perfect to kick off the Halloween season!
