Victory Celebration or Yub Nub?

I grew up with the 2004 editions, with the Victory Celebration song at the end, as opposed to Yub Nub. I vastly prefer the Victory Celebration, I think it's one of Williams' best works, and a perfect way to end the trilogy.

What are your thoughts on the two? Which do you prefer?

The ewok song. Regardless of each song's quality, Yub nub actually fits what's up onscreen ie it's a celebration song as the characters are celebrating the end of the empire. The new enya song is melancholic, which doesn't fit the tone of the scene because Luke has just buried Vader, and that was sad, and now it's time to move on and celebrate, not reflect (cause they already done that).

I am Djour Djilios. could you spell that please? I don't think so. Try it with a "D".

I don't care as long as we have Sebastian Shaw as Anakin at the end.

I think Victory Celebration gives the finale a much bigger sense of grandeur. I don't hate yub nub, but whenever I rewatch the original cuts, it does seem anti-climactic by comparison.

I like the Victory Celebration better, in particular the choral elements at the big ghost reveal; that worked well (and would have worked even better without that damn HC addition, instead of Shaw). It's not perfect, but I HATED Yub Nub with a passion, and still do. Worst bit of music in the entire 6 film series, damn near as bad as Jedi Rocks.

^This. Yub Nub is not bad by any means, but ultimately, Victory Celebration, along with the accompanying shots of celebrations in the galaxy, is a much grander piece to end the trilogy on.

I guess the Yub Nub.

Ewok Celebration by far. Much more triumphant, upbeat and catchy.

The replacement music has rubbed me the wrong way ever since I first heard it in 1997. It's a generic New Agey piece that was musical movement that was gaining popularity in the 1990s, especially in the relaxation CD piles in psychic shops. It's horribly inappropriate for the ending of ROTJ.

Victory Celebration is a great piece of music and one of the few additions I thought was good in the Special Editions. That being said, I despise most all of the other changes done to the OT and therefore would rather have Yub Nub because it comes with the original theatrical cuts by default.
