Barbara Carrera remembers NSNA
In the new Infinity magazine, Barbara Carrera remembers the movie in a very long interview https://www.facebook.com/ghoulishpubs/posts/pfbid02fKLCTAxcbeiDQZjKuM8dYdmNDocaavggwYsGpjiRQHjTaHvxtJyUZLkUHhz97RM8l
Flicked through some of it in WHSmith
She was offered the role of Octopussy but chose NSNA instead. Mainly bc shed be starring with Sean Connery as Bond. Eon were understandably miffed at her going to the rival film (I guess Octopussy would've literally been the title role in an "official" Eon Bond but its not hard to understand why she'd go with NSNA)
When she learned Connery would be Bond again she could barely believe it, Even now she can barely believe she started opposite Sean Connery in his signature role.
At the time there was all kind of lawsuits going on to prevent it even as they were filming. She disapproves of how Eon have treated the movie since they bought the rights and now keep it 'hidden away like an illegitimate stepchild' (no included in any Eon 007 dvd/blu sets etc) but appreciates the fans support of the movie on dvd etc
