Very sad day...This film Never say Never was the film that introduced me to my world audience.. I Will always be grateful and indebted to Sean and his wife Michelin Connery.
This was one of the first and greatest adventures of my professional life.. my love and prayers go out to his family. Love you Sean.. There Will never be another you… On or off the screen.. ✨💫🙏❤️ KB
Well, I don't know if this counts, but Halle Berry was also a Bond girl and a Batman girl if that Catwoman movie (in which she's not Selina Kyle) means anything.
Christopher Walken could also say that he was in a Bond movie (A View to a Kill) and a Batman movie (Batman Returns). Incidentally, he on both occasions, played a slimy business tycoon named Max.
There's also Jeffrey Wright, who is Felix Leiter in the Daniel Craig Bond movies and Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming Batman movie with Robert Pattinson.
I know that Kim was trying to do the nice and "right thing" by paying her respects to Sean Connery, but I always thought that Never Say Never Again was a form of "old shame" for her. She didn't enjoy working for Irvin Kershner (for whom she accused of being "mean") and didn't anticipate the shooting to run so long. Plus, Kim Basinger apparently, had to wear a wig when it came time for reshoots, because she had cut her hair short for the movie The Man Who Loved Women. According to the trivia, Kim was very reluctant to do Never Say Never Again at first, because she was worried that if she played a Bond girl, it would've been much harder for people to take her seriously as an actress.
She's had a better career than most of the Bond girls and, even if she didn't, she's still taken more seriously as an actress than any of the women on Baywatch.
Imagine if Basinger was in Barb Wire instead of Pamela Anderson, it would probably have been taken more seriously since (besides being a better actress) she had more credibility as an action heroine on the strength of The Real McCoy and The Getaway.
