Fatima Blush

I think the best on this movie are Barbare Carrera as femme fatale! Her appearances, her outfits, her high heels, her playing a wicked, overconfident and vain, seemed to be mighty and powerful henchgirl - and finally her ridiculous death - are absolute classic!!!

Barbara Carrera's portrayal of the gorgeous, yet vain and overconfident hit-woman Fatima Blush, was definitely the main attraction in this film. Loved her sexy and flamboyant outfits, especially her ultra-glamorous couture' at the end, which she partially strips out of while letting down her long, thick wavy hair. That moment before her death, Fatima cackled in amusement at a seemingly harmless dart striking her midsection from Bond's pen, and I had hopes she would survive with only a scar to her abdomen and a ruined blouse. Oh well...sigh!!!

reply

Fatima underrated Bond very well;-)!

reply

Loved Fatima Blush.. she filled out that nurses outfit pretty well.

reply

...like the both outfits on the bahamas most!!!

Fatima Blush is the ONLY reason to own this film. The only reason.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

And yet, Fiona Volpe from Thunderball is much better.

reply

She was hot, but such a beotch. I was celebrating when she met her demise in this one. Perfect way to go for Fatima Blush.

reply

That was well deserved - thats right! Nice detail, that only her stiletto heels are remain (just a little burning;-)) - a criterion of her female superior...

reply

At the point where she was about to easily kill Bond, but she first wanted him to write a testimonial on how she was his hottest ever, Fatima's massive ego turned out to be her weakness.

An exploding pen-rocket to the abdomen? I would have rather seen her go down with a fight. Besides, I think she would fall under the category of "Too hot to die."

reply

She is really "Too hot to die"!!!! I think it is ironic that her massive ego and her female superior is the crucial factor for her comeuppance...;-)

reply

I think we all would have rather seen Fatima receive any other comeuppance than death! What a waste of an absolutely perfect woman! I suppose all that perfection got to her head....

reply

Thats right! I think thats it;-) She is to evil and sexy for this planet!!!;-)

reply

I mean she could have just shot and killed Bond, but her vanity was her undoing. By having him write that tribute to her, she gave him the opportunity to shoot back and kill her with that dart-shooting pen.

reply

She was good, but I much preferred Fiona Volpe in Thunderball.

reply

Fatima Blush was fine as hell in this film. A very good villain as well.

reply

I agree. She was the best thing about this film. Even her name is awesome.

reply

She was made for this role, even if this bond movie kind of went under the radar she is one of the best bond girl and one of the best bad guy ever.

reply

Barbara Carrera indeed was Fatima Blush, a role she relished to the extent that she designed several of the outfits herself, and even cultivated extra-long, red-polished fingernails. She was getting warmed up for the Dragon Lady part in a "Terry & The Pirates" film that unfortunately, never got off the ground.
