'And it went, wherever I did go.'

That's a great scene, but I was wondering, was anyone else freaked out by his arms? His voice and his face is brilliant, but for some reason those arms freak me out. I even had a nightmare once where all people had long arms like him. Strange, especially since I really like horror movies so I'm not the one to get easily scared by anything. Scared isn't even the good word really, more like, uncomfortable.

Oh fishy, fishy, fishy!

You did love it so! You looked after it like a son!

reply

No, I was too busy laughing to actually get scared!
But if it was the case, I believe I would rather be freaked out by that waiter thingy that walks in! lol

That very well may be the best scene in the film:)

I know what happened with those arms! They weren't real arms! Those guys were all fishies, wearing people costumes! The arms just got too long when they floated.

I saw that happen once at a costume party.

I wasn't invited but I peeked.

reply

I was there at that costume party. Me and some mates put the mouse costumes on and...started sqeakin a bit.

Funny as I don't know what and weird. Like Dr. Seuss meets Rock Horror Picture Show.

reply

I was extremely freaked out by that scene so i skipped it!

The best scene in the movie! So David Lynch...

Yeah, that scene was...creepy, kind of nightmarish in a very English way... hard to describe but I'm sure that Jung would have had a field day interpreting the archetypes in this scene (and the whole movie for that matter).

reply

lol, it didn't really freak me out. I just thought it was ingenious:P

It's my favourite scene in the whole film - I don't know why Mr Creosote is regarded so highly when we can see Terry J as a long-armed Felix the Cat instead!
'The Middle of the Film' had my in hysterics the first time I saw it, and still does whenever I watch.

Classic Python at it's most surreal; a bit like Gilliam's animations.
