how do they kill the shark?

This is the only Jaws movie I haven't seen. I was wondering if the shark attacks any people in this one like the other 3 movies I saw or if the shark here just swims peacefully in the ocean waters chomping down on fish when its hungry? So I don't know if the shark gets killed or not
