The funny thing is that i know some couples like this one.
I actually look at it like this.
The husband had a big time job in an office in the city. He couldn't afford to do anything but look like a big shot.
He had to have a car like that to attract clients and to show his worth at his firm
He may have "had to" have a nice car in order to impress clients at his firm, but at the same time he should have made sure his wife is not driving his CHILD around in a total junker.
Seriously, the people here justifying that he needed the best car for work and because she's a stay at home mom while he brings home the bacon, she shouldn't have a decent vehicle? WTF?
She's doing the hard work of taking care of and raising his precious son. That child alone should matter enough to him that he doesn't leave them in a car that can break down at any moment. Even if he doesn't give a shit about his wife -- and maybe she's cheating because he's so dismissive of the family's safety going about their day....he should care that if she's ferrying his precious damn brat around they need something safe.
He might have the flashy "real" job but she's got the most important job of all in making sure their child is safe in her care all day every day.
