Brainstorm Remake
I can't be the only one who actually thinks that Brainstorm would benefit in the form of a remake...just sayin

Soundchaser and stazza both have good points and I agree with Stazza that it really does act like a time capsule of when it was made.
I think in the case of some films that were underdeveloped/poorly made, or trapped by production issues, remakes could work.
Case in point - the Fantastic Voyage was a GREAT movie but would be cool as a remake with newer tech and our ethical issues with medicine, etc.
Looker from 1981 was a mess of a movie with a great concept and could REALLY benefit from a remake especially now that VR is normalized in our world.
What might be cool with Brainstorm is more of a continuation rather than a strict remake. We might be able to visit Brace and see what happened after the film. It could continue to explore the themes of life and death and how technology imposes itself into our lives (both for the good and bad)...
There is a remake: Strange Days
