They left out a good line from the book

When Grace is mad because Mrs. Armstrong said the Herdmans wouldn't have taken over the pageant if she hadn't been in the hospital, one of her lines in the book was, "She's probably surprised the sun can come up in the morning without her there to supervise!" I thought that was really funny.

Does anybody else think the baby angel costumes didn't look like they were made out of bedsheets?

Eight years later, you got your wish! That line is in the remake, which is PERFECT!

There's a remake?

reply

In theaters now! Run right down and see it!

reply

Better to call it a re-adaptation, but yes. I saw it and it's good.

They pretty much gave away the entire movie in the trailer! I feel like I have already seen it now.

reply

Well the movie is 99 minutes long. I can assure you that there is more to the film than what's in a two minute trailer. About 97 minutes more, in fact.

reply

I can do basic math...

They gave away a brief synopsis of the entire movie. Whenever a trailer does that, I have no interest in watching the entire film. I'd rather watch something that doesn't completely give itself away before I see it. That's just how I am.
