I thought that part was so corny & the lady that received the phone call was a terrible actress.
shareHave you ever been in an office when they announced the death of a co-worker? These days, there would be an e-mail with info about service, where to send flowers, etc. Back then, what do you do? Maybe later she types up a memo and has it photocopied, but it seemed as good a way to tell everyone as any. She was in shock herself, after all.
