Favorite Fraggle?

So, who's your favorite Fraggle? It's a tie for me. I like Wembley and Boober. Gobo was pretty cool too but no one beats Wembley and Boober. :)

reply

My favorites were GoBo and Red. I had a Red doll when I was a kid. The only thing I didn't like about it was her hair wasn't wild. It was straight yarn.

reply

What an easy question.

¡Wembley!

Have you noticed he is the only one who moves his eyes?

reply

Wembly and Boober... the precursers of what is now the comedy team of Gonzo and Rizzo.... clearly the stars of muppet-dome.

However, there were times that Sprocket made me crack up...

short answer.. is I'm really a huge fan of Steve Whitmire.

Boober has been my favourite ever since I was little. I remember I cried once because I wasn't able to find any toys of him. I just love how Mr Henson summed him up in the fraggles documentary - "To Boober, the only two certain things in life are death and laundry".

Aww, bless his little hat and scarf.

Wembley comes a very close second, I just loved his neurotic, high-pitched, breathless performance. But the best thing about him was the way his great big eyes used to roll around, it was adoreable.

Well, I don't know about way back when, but now they have stuffed Boober dolls. I know because I have one. And now my little brother, who you'd think, at fourteen, would be 1: too old for plushies, and 2: too young for Fraggles (he isn't even old enough to have seen them when they had reruns in the early to mid-90s, which is when I discovered them as a kid), wants one. I had my boober doll out tonight and he saw it and said he wanted one.

I want...I want...I WANT EVERYTHING I'VE EVER SEEN IN THE MOVIES!

reply

My favorite Fraggle is Cantus the Minstrel. :)

reply

I second that! He wasn't one of the main five, but he was pretty cool. Uncle Travelling Matt was another favorite.

reply

Boober and Red. Red especially when she's falling flat on her face. Slapstick at it's finest.

reply

I always liked Wembley.

reply

Of the main five? Red, hands down. I hated how they treated her often (Red always made mistakes whereas Gobo could essentially do no wrong), but out of the female Fraggles she had much more spunk than Mokey.

I do, however, have an intense love for Sidebottom as well. And Sprocket, though that steps out of the "Fraggle" category.

reply

For me it's a tie between Boober, Red and Mokey!!
I love Mokey's sweet voice, and Red's craziness, and Boober's lucky things!!!!!!

reply

I´ve always LOVED Gobo =)
But when I was a child I got a present from my sister one christmas... a teacup with Wembley on!!! I hated her, because I loved Gobo! But she thought I was more like Wembley!!
So, eventually I fell in love with Wembi... So now a days, I have a tatto of him!!! =) And I have never regret that!

I remember there was 1 episode where there was a young Doozer who didnt fit in with all the other Doozers. If I remember correctly, as Doozers grow up they reach an age where they receive their hardhat but 1 Doozer didnt want the hardhat and didnt want to become a builder like all the others. It turned out that the young Doozer wasn't a builder but was a designer. I have been looking for this episode for years. If anyone can help with a DVD or point me to place on the web where I can download it I would be very happy. [email protected] THANKS

reply

That would be show number 32, "All work and all play"
It's included in the second season dvd box set.

Mine's always been a 3 way tie:

Gobo
Wembley
Uncle Traveling Matt

Though I for some reason didnt really care for him in the episide where he came back to the Rock =/
