KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHN

shareYep, there's a whole website dedicated to this scene:

Yes. Have you seen the movie yet?
shareIn Ben's defense they also had Spock do it in Star Trek: Into Darkness.
shareOh god, don't remind me.
shareKHAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNN!!!@
shareThis movie is seriously in my top 3. The scene in question is iconic and great. The way they tried to hijack it in "Into Darkness" nearly pushed me out the exit door. Jiminy Christ, I hate that movie.
... also a fan of James Caan. (seemed appropriate to mention)
The problem with TWOK (if one can even call it that), is that it was TOO GOOD. The franchise had this amazing, fantastic movie that was perfect in its own right -- a thrilling battle, a heart-racing climax, a gut-wrenching, bittersweet ending, and a FANTASTIC villain. And the franchise has spent the past 35 years trying to recreate that awesomeness, and -- to a large extent -- falling short. What's really sad about "Into Darkness" is that they didn't even need to do it. The 2009 movie was a good enough tribute to TWOK in its own right and even had an original plot to boot. There was no reason to bring back Khan in STID.
shareInteresting. I guess it is true that they spent too much time trying to recapture TWOK's magic instead of creating new magic. Especially evident in ST 6 as chang was a cheap attempt at a Khan.
I was sorta OK with 2009 Trek. Not great but decent enough that I looked forward to the next one. Into Darkness was so bad that I didn't watch the next one.
That movie was bad, bad bad.
Can't believe how highly rated it is on IMDB.
The best thing about this line is that it's not even real. Kirk is putting on an act when he yells it. The audience and other characters present in the scene all think the scream is genuine. But Kirk has an ace up his sleeve and knows what he's doing the entire time.
So yes, this is the movie. If we consider the overarching theme to be how Kirk is working to out-maneuver Khan, this one word is, in fact, a microcosm of the film at large.
