But he did divert his course home when she said I like you, he started to follow her. But who wouldn't? Rat had his chance...he set himself up to get burned like he did. The only reason Rat was buttsore was that he didn't have the stones to seal the deal with her. Had Rat scored, he wouldn't have cared about Damone scoring too, he would have laughed and said right on high five !! and, if a girl throws herself at you, it is every mans duty to appease her. that's unwritten law.

She actually did want it more. She followed Damone while he went in to change his bathing suit and then seduced him in the cabana.
First off, Damone is a top 5 oldest looking “teenager” I’ve seen in movies…which makes his actions a little creepier.
That being said, yeah he’s a douche anyway. He made very friendship-ending decisions in this movie. How his character ends up in the movie is generously kind in comparison to what it would have been in reality.
I disagree. Even if there isn’t much much going on with Stacy and Rat, that is still his best friend, and he knew how he felt about her, because he was going to him for advice.
Stacy made the moves, but he knew she liked him, and he still somehow ended up at her house alone with her. He looked like he was conflicted, and almost seemed to regret it afterwards, but he still didn’t tell his best friend. Rat had to find out through the rumor mill. And when he confronted him, Damone wanted to fight him. Rat should not have forgiven him at the end of the movie.
I think I could’ve somewhat been on his side if he actually had feeling for her, but he basically just slept with a girl his best friend had feeling for, and he didn’t really even like her. Total piece of shit.
I don't know many HS boys who would turn down a slam dunk boink with a girl who made it clear she wasn't into his friend.
I ended up liking Damone, especially by the end. He grew a lot in character.
