Seriously! Of course, Kira was only a puppet.
But, I knew a girl who looked identical to Kira! Same ethereal look, and hair. The day that I was introduced to her, I laughingly mentioned it to her. She smiled and said "You have no idea how many people tell me that." Then she "bowed" her head like the Gelflings do in the film and started saying some Kira lines from the film.
She even SOUNDED like her!

I don't have any photos myself, she was my cousin's friend. We all used to hang out together sometimes a few years back.

I loved this movie when it first came out, I was 8 then, my wife just bought it for our boys. Gotta introduce it to a whole new generation!

I used to live next door to a girl when my 1st hubby & I lived in Mainz, Germany, who also looked like Kira. My neighbor's name was Chris - I can't remember her last name now -that's been like 19 years ago. :)
I never told her we thought she looked like a Gelfling, but we mentioned several times to each other. lol

doesn't surprise me. i knew a guy in high school who looked just like jen. i know that in college a lot of people made the connection and started calling him gelfling, too. so it wasn't just me.

Check out Rebecca De Mornay in her youth (example the Tom Cruise movie, Risky Business). She is the spitting image of Kira.
