It's a few years since I've seen Blade Runner. I remember watching it and loving it. However, I didn't know then that there were so many cuts. I want to watch/have the best version of Blade Runner, so which is it? Is it the Final Cut since it was the one Ridley Scott finally released?
shareIt may be the least popular choice, but my favorite version is the WORKPRINT CUT. It has a bit of the narration and laid the foundation for the Director's Cut and, later, the Final Cut.
It also has the crucial element that Dekkard's humanity is still in doubt, but hasn't been Ridley Scott-ed into being transformed into a replicant. The original author, screenwriters and actor Ford all say he is a human. I like the fact that in the Workprint cut, his humanity is questioned, but, not determined. A little mystery makes for a greater motion picture.
I'd go with The Final Cut.

Lots of different opinions on this, I presume. But to me, The Final Cut is definitely the best. It's so much better without the voice-over. This is a movie that's not supposed to be explained so much. It's an experience to be debated over and over. No need for a disinterested Harrison Ford to explain all the things we can see right in front of us. The more ambiguous ending of the Final Cut is also much more fitting with the rest of the film.

I grew up on the TC, but the FC is the most polished. I can watch either one at any point and neither feels better or out of place compared to the other. I've seen it so many times now that it's all good to me.
