Poor
I was really disappointed when watching this, some of it was unintentionally funny. It was supposed to be a 'classic', but I thought it was really bad

Interesting. I found it to be a breathtaking work of art.

You need to better appreciate the art that is unintentional humor.

Yes! Could not agree with you more! And I love this movie. It is filled with great characters, seedy atmosphere and just a totally quirky charm.
Ditto! I loved it when I first saw it on vhs in 84' and have loved it ever since. A beautiful blend of horror, comedy and even some pathos. Deservedly a cult classic. If only nearly all low budget gore horror films were this good. Have you seen Henenlotter's BRAIN DAMAGE-88' Mr. H? This one is not quite as good; but still very watchable and amusing.
shareYou haven't seen enough bad films. This was great.
shareI struggled with it too. It's one of original 1980s 'video nasties' and I thought it was a bit ropey at the time. But now it's basically piss poor; badly acted, bad special effects, daft story.
3 out of 10 and that is being generous! How the F is it a 6.1 on here?!

It has this cult following, but I wasn't crazy about it either. The animation of the twin became monotonous, along with the intentional self-conscious gimmick/premise. Would work better as an eposodic-type entry

Did you not finish the sentence IY, I don't know what you mean? An episodic type entry of what? The film was followed by 2 inferior sequels in the early 90's.
"some of it was unintentionally funny"
Actually the movie is intentionally funny. It's an exploitation horror comedy. It becomes even more obvious in the sequels.
