Chinese episode is so racist.
"The Knight of the Drones"
The sinister Asian restaurant owner running a scam in the back of his kitchen.
Michael calling his two henchmen the "Eggroll Brothers."

It was the 80s.
Who says violence is not the answer?
I can only assume this is a joke thread.
It's not called racist, it's called "funny". Or at least folks who grew up during that time still find it funny. Unfortunately the younger generation has been trained by the media to be humorless and to see everything as offensive.

On top of that why would "eggroll brother" be considered racist? Because it stereotypes people? Well, like it or not, stereotypes clearly originated from somewhere, so clearly they're steeped in fact. Chances are since he's Chinese he probably likes egg rolls. Is that racist? Just like I'm Ukrainian and I love pierogies. Am I supposed to get offended if someone identifies me as a pierogie lover? Or let's just say that I'm that rare Ukrainian who doesn't love pierogies, again why would I get offended if someone referred to me as a pierogie lover? They might be incorrect about my tastes but by no means are they being racist towards me.
I think most people these days don't even know what the word means. It's just the easiest word to throw around. RACIST. It's really sad, however, that such innocent and throwaway humor is lost on people who are so uptight that they can't even see it for what it is. Just a humorous throwaway line. Nothing more, nothing less.

this reply needs cut and pasted into EVERY thread on moviechat.
the smart people will always rule the stupider people, and it is good to see smart people are still around.
And all along I thought it was because when he said "eggroll BROTHERS" he got upset cause the word "brothers" was only used to describe black guys best close friends who, are also black??
shareRacist? Thank god you didn't have a voice back then to bitch and now you don't either, well, you can complain on IMDb but that's about it.

5 years later and the word "racist" now has no definable meaning.
I just watched this scene that you explained and you are very right. Its highly offensive. This show is currently being streamed on Netflix and Peacock. I am sending them a message thru their website to try and get that comment bleeped out. Maybe you could do this as well. We must continue to put pressure on companies promoting or showcasing racism
