Although I thought Lauren was more dynamic, Ellen was probably a better match for Alex and the Keatons. She challenged him and helped him get out of his comfort zone but in a nurturing way.

shareAnother two episode girlfriend of Alex's was Daphne Zuniga's character, Rachel. I kind of suspect that she wasn't kept around because audiences started to suspect that she was "too similar" to Mallory (both Daphne Zuniga and Justine Bateman for example have similar speaking voices).
