Remake

who should act in a remake?

You'd have to get retired players, like many of the players in the original were. But I think it would be a great idea and really work well. A nice shot in the are for US soccer and would be well recieved everywhere else in the world.

I'm not going back and forth to get all the characters names so I'll just put original stars and replacements.

Michael Caine - Clive Owen
Stallone - Robert Downey Jr
Pele - Ronaldinho
Max von Sydow - Sir Ian McKellan
Kevin O'Callahan - Paul Robinson, just because he deserves getting his arm broke for that clearance.

If the storyline update involved it not only being Germans as the opposition than Christiano Ronaldo could be the captain of the other team, plenty of his trademark diving to get the two in game penalties.

I hate the question "Do I know you?" Exactly how am I supposed to answer that?

The Victory (1981) is a remake. The original film's title is Két félidö a pokolban. (director: Fábri Zoltán)

Is there an IMDB page for the remake?

well, Eric Cantona and Vinnie Jones had some acting experience but they are already too old (and in the case of Cantona, fat as well), anyway one of them could play Michael Caine's role.
Some footballers that I'd like to see in a remake: Forwards: Christiano Ronaldo, Kaká, Messi. Midfielders:. Totti, Diarrá, Ballack, Beckham (let's see if at least he can act). Defenders: Pujol, Rafael Márquez, Terry, Zanetti. Goalie: Buffon.
On the bench: Drogba, Eto'o, Diego, Ronaldinho, Materazzi, Lucio, Casillas.
Coach: Sir Alex Ferguson.
