My dad was in Taps

Near the beginning when George C. Scott's character is reading the list of people killed (I have only seen this scene two or three times, so parts of it are kinda rusty), there is a guy at the end of the room playing taps on the trumpet. That's my dad, who was a student at Valley Forge when Taps was being filmed.

did your dad know a teacher named mr. sicoli. no it's not a joke on "spicoli".
i had a social studies teacher in 9th grade 1990, who showed this movie and talked about being on the set.

A guy i knew in high school was in the movie also. We lived in the next township near Valley Forge.

Funny... the reason I came here today is that this morning I found out that someone I'm acquainted with happened to be the actor who played Shovel.

Gregory Hines should've been in TAPS.

Just sayin'...

I was in high school nearby in Radnor when this movie was filmed! It was such a BIG deal. Anyone and everyone showed up for casting calls and scenes that called for hundreds of extras. It seemed like the biggest bragging right of 1980 was being in TAPS. LOL. I wasn't in TAPS :(
