Christopher Walken dance sequence
Does anyone else agree with me that this was the best part of the movie?

shareI don't know about it being the best part of the movie, but it was definitely one of the highlights of this nearly forgoten gem, which I loved and didn't think anyone else saw. This dark and somber salute to 1930's musicals was a radical departure for Martin and he proved up to the challenge. I loved this movie.

That was not really Christopher Walken dancing.
Director Herbert Ross had Christopher Walken's head digitally pasted onto the body of dancer-actor Gregory Hines. But that's Hollywood for ya!
Oh no! Please tell me you are just kidding!!! Did they have that technology in 1981!?? I suppose they did....I can't keep track of all the latest technologies! Well, I'll just pretend I did not see this post and keep believing it is Christopher!
shareAre you silly? It was him, person above is trolling. They couldn't do that in 1981.

Ha ha you are such a troll. It was Walken dancing. Fact.

amazing dance scene
shareYOU HAVE TO AGREE THAT PART IS TRUELY UNEXPECTED
shareNo that was not Gregory Hines' body it truly was Chritopher Walken, and no they did not have that technology back then. I have to agree that his dance number was the most incredible part of the movie....out of curiosity did you ever see the interview on Inside the Actors Studio with Christopher Walken? He had an amazing little anecdote about that scene.....
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you-do or do not there is no try.
Can you tell us what he had to say in that interview? BTW, I can help out if anyone wants a copy of the soundtrack on tape. Just email me at [email protected]
shareYes I would love to get a hold of that soundtrack, and if anyone can help me get a hold of the Bravo's Inside the Actors Studio with Chris walken, it would be greatly appreciated. I just love him!
shareChristopher Walken was talking about learning to dance when he grew up on the Daily Show awhile back. He said that in New York back in the day, it was common for boys to take dance classes on the weekends when he was growing up. He said he had a feeling that there are a lot of hardened cops and firemen his age in New York that can secretly tapdance.
-Does anyone else agree with me that this was the best part of the movie?-
Agreed
Absolutely. Walken steals the film (easily, though Peters is good) in this scene.
shareAs dancing, singing pimps go, Christopher Walken is the tops. And yes it is my favorite scene.
