"Capricorn One" is one of my all-time favorite movies. It's conspiracy-theory plot is great, plus the cinematography and film score.

"Outland" is really good, and is one of the better reworkings of a classic movie, in this case "High Noon."

Never heard of it till I looked at Peter Hyams filmography after finishing Outland just a minute ago. It's got a pretty high rating, so I might check it out.

It was never on UK TV back in the 80's. Disappeared without a trace after 1977.

It's a nice piece of actual science fiction.

C1 is a conspiracy fantasy.

I watched Outland and I could actually believe we might mine some of the moons in the Solar system.

I was 15 when I watched Capricorn One and thought it was the stupidest thing to go to Mars in Apollo spacecraft. It would be like trying to cross the Atlantic non-stop in the Wright Flyer.
