I liked Halloween but this movie is a lot better imo, and it didn't need a remake either, although i think the remake was pretty fun.

Maybe... Harry Warden makes Michael Myers look like a little bitch that's for sure, the dudes a beast and gore fiend.
MBV has a higher body count, way gorier kills and I think the back story of Harry Warden is superb (way better than Myers backstory). I also like the blue collar mining town location.
Halloween has a better OST and better cinematography. Probably better editing too.
