Why did Kristatos not want blood in the water if his intention was to kill Bond and Melina?

I mean blood is what attracts and makes a shark attack. Why did Kristatos not want any blood in the water?

think he wanted the fun of dragging them about for a time as blood spilling in at the start would attract the sharks too soon and it would all be finished quickly

Because he wanted to enjoy dragging them through coral for a little bit, if the sharks ate them too quickly then it wouldn’t be as fun
