Lawrence Fishburne as one of the thugs/ rapists

I met Laurence Fishburne at a restaraunt in Venice Beach in 2002. It was right around the time the sequel to the Matrix was released. As he got up to go to the bathroom I ran into him and acted star struck and said "Oh my god. it's you from that movie (he was probably thinking I would say The Matrix) but what I said was "You were in that movie........Death Wish 2.

The look on his face was priceless and he burst into laughter. I smiled and he shook my hand and said "Now thats some funny *beep* man....have a good night"

In his long list of films that is probably the last one he thought anyone would bring up to him.....LOL

Seemed like a good guy too.

Why would an A list actor take on a role like the one he had in Death Wish 2? I just don't understand

Had the funniest death in the movie.

A gun fight ensues where Fishburns character and others are hiding behind a mammoth Cadillac, shooting at Bronson's character(who has high ground in the woods). The group starts LOSING the gunfight against Bronson's dead aim. Fishburns character runs for it, using the boom-box as a shield to his face. A bullet passes right through the boom box, killing Fishburns character instantly.
