Remakes not sounding good

Being the modern trend katts been replaced by a woman and it sounds like it's an outright comedy.

Looks pretty stupid to make it a comedy. I liked George Wendt in Cheers but I won't be watching this.

George Wendt and William Katt team up again? Like in House? They're the new Farley and Spade

The original was a comedy, so it makes sense that the remake should be as well. Looks fun to me. As a kid that was my favorite show on TV, and it might be fun to see it get a modern makeover.

The original was an hour long superhero action adventure show with comedic elements. It wasn't an outright comedy.I'll wait and see but so far this new show sounds terrible to me.It sounds like it's going to ditch every other aspect of the show and just play it for laughs.

The original was more goofy comedy than superhero action, and geared more towards kids than grownups. I loved it as a middle school kid, but when I tried watching it as an adult a few years back it didn't quite have the same appeal. The new version looks like something that might be fun for grownups as well as kids.

The original parodied all the superhero/action shows which were so popular then--wonder woman, batman, the six million dollar man, incredible hulk.....it would be difficult to pull off now. it's not as popular as a gene for networks. Plus there are so many more networks too.

This was when there were only really three. Cable existed but was still soo expensive. Fox would not come online until 1986!! So broadcasting was entirely different re marketing and target audience.

Plus there’s no way they’ll ever get anyone to recreate the Bill Maxwell character in awesomeness (Maybe Bruce Campbell could pull it off, but it would be tough)
