im gay but i have to admit im nto big into her, i didnt gropw up during the era i was born in '82 after all. my sister has a lot of her stuff on vinyl though.

im a bigger fan of Roxette.

i thought the movie moved slow in the beginning but got really good at the end.

Look, i am straight, married male. Born in 62, making me 46.

Olivia was absolutely the hottest woman on the planet when she made this movie, and frankly, I was hooked. Even now, I think about what she looked/looks like, and wished I was a multi-million dollar baseball player or something like that, because I would have done about anything to hook up with her.

Even the Physical video was smoking, although it was completely ruined with all those men bouncing around and holding hands, etc., but Olivia in spandex??? I'd watch all day, every day!

When she made Xanadu, she already past her prime. Even then, she was still every boy's wet dream. I thought a bigger mistake she made than being in this movie wearing those weird looking customs at the end was being in that idiotic "Physical" video.

As a straight man, a writer, an artist, I had my first crush on Olivia. You could say she was my muse to become a better man.

To say only gays can dig Olivia is pretty narrow minded, self-serving and maybe bigoted.

Past her prime at 32? That idiotic Physical was the number one song for 10 weeks straight and the best selling song of the entire decade. The video won the very first Grammy awarded for short form video.

What I meant there was that she was so beautiful that even in her 30s, she was still every boy's wet dream. I would say her prime was during the mid 70s when she was known only as a singer.

It's more than possible, my friend. I'm straighter than a flag pole on a calm day in January. And I was raised on Olivia thanks to my big sister. I acted like I hated Olivia back then, but after growing up I found myself to be very appreciative of Olivia's music. And I also realized that she was very hot. When you're a little kid, you don't notice these things. Olivia rocks! And Xanadu is a lot of fun.

Many "gay" things are a lot of fun. Xanadu, Wizard of Oz, Rocky Horror, and Perezhilton.com are some of my faves. Hell, even Elton John grows on you if you listen to him enough.
