Why is there an alien in the movie poster?
There’s literally nothing in this movie that comes close to looking like a potential alien or alien activity. Would have been a cool theme to explore though!

shareTHIS QUESTION COMES UP EVERY SO OFTEN AND IT IS STUPIDER EVERY TIME I SEE IT...THE FACE ON THE POSTER IS DANNY...PERIOD...THE REASON IT LOOKS SO ODD IS IT IS DRAWN WITH DOTS...GROW UP,WEIRDOS.
shareThis was on the cover of The Shining I got from the library back in the day the first time I read it. Back then, I didn't know it was a movie tie in poster cover. So I had always been under the impression that it was a representation of just the evil spirits of the hotel itself. But then again since it is a movie poster it probably is just a representation of a very frightened Danny.
shareI always thought it was actually like a doll (yes like the Chucky doll), which also makes no sense, but that's what it used to look to me when I was a child... then when I bought the DVD, I forgot about that poster and got used to Jack's crazy grin.
shareIt's obviously Tony (The little boy that lives in Danny's Mouth)
shareI agree. It’s not the best movie poster but it as a great movie
Apparently Stephen King hated it but he had a downpour of substance abuse at the time so fuck him.
It's called diversity. Duh.
