Wendy's Chase Scene

Does 'Prom Night' (1980) still hold the record for the longest killer-chasing-victim scene in any horror movie?

I've heard that Wendy running through the school in spiked heels is considered the best chase in the horror genre.

Yeah, I guess I wanted my family to be more like a sea monkey family.

One of my favorite chase scenes, I absolutely loved it!
The only two that top it (IMO) are Tara (Curtains) and Helen (I Know What You Did Last Summer)

I love Curtains, but that chase scene doesn't do a whole lot for me.

Wendy's Chase seen was long because she was in reality the 2nd lead in the film. Her screen time may even have the most screen time

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Carol (Caroline Munro's) exhaustingly chase scene from Marty in Slaughter High.

That I'm gonna get you chase scene lasted a good 15 minutes!!!! Very suspenseful & creepy too! But she did look so pretty running around that old school in that pretty white (filthy tho by this time) outfit jumpsuit thing & white boots. Running thru the halls & up/down the stairs so much wore me out alone! But I looooove this movie, first seen it when I was 10 y/o & now my 10 y/o daughter & I love to watch it sometimes. Check it out, a super great slaher/horror/scary 80s movie & the person that did the Friday the 13th music did this so similar sounds of that in here too. Just awesome, glad I own it on DVD :)!!!

Lara Wendel's chase scene in Tenebre (1982) lasted 8 minutes and 15 seconds.

I like Wendy's chase as well. I was reading the original script a few months back and was surprised to see that it was originally longer. Apart from seeing the teacher in the closet with her. She also ran into a boiler room and hid behind one of the boilers. The killer strikes at her with the axe but hits the boiler which sends boiling water all over him. There's a few other additions as well such as how the sister died at the beginning, she was decapitated by falling glass instead of falling out of the window. Its worth a read.

I hope to one day see these scenes lets hope they were filmed. If they were then Wendy's chase can only get better.

There comes a time to put away childhood things. But some things just won't stay put!
