good movie, if only the ending were better

For me this movie falls short of being perfect due to the ending. After the double gets exposed and kicked out, the movie from then on becomes less interesting as it is no longer about the double but about the fall of the Takeda clan with the double just watching as it all falls apart. It doesn't help that the battle isn't that good either.

I would have preferred a more heroic ending for the double. Imagine if when the double see's the soldiers dying, he gets into armor and grabs a horse and charges into the middle of the battlefield, and rouses all the soldiers to fight with him, and the soldiers seeing him, even knowing he isn't the real Takeda Shingen, they feel as if the spirit of Takeda Shingen has come back to lead them into one last glorious battle, and they follow him while Katsuyori is left fuming knowing he is once again overshadowed by his father. They all ride into battle and meet a glorious end.

It's a bit Hollywood I admit.
