Is there anyone alive that watched this movie and didnt cry? I think the entire movie was made to jerk as many tears as possible. So much that I had to force myself to not cry because everything was getting too wet.
For those that didnt cry, do you think you lack feelings?
Was this movie truly impossible to not cry over?
Any way top 5 movies that it is impossible nopt to cry on.. These are the movies that get me every time... Actually I dont have 5 movies but ill list 2
1.The Elephant Man 2.Brokeback Mountain (I've only seen it once, cried so much in the end) 3.Titanic (Don't judge me) 4.Toy Story 3 5.Marley and Me (When an animal dies it always fvcks me up)
Ugh, The Elephant Man! I was so young when I saw this film, I think maybe around 9 years old? I must be a drama queen because once the film ended, I grabbed a throw pillow from the couch, went to the bathroom to sit on the toilet and cried my eyes out while sobbing into the pillow. How sad is that?
Keep in mind, I'm a cry baby, so if I could have a top 25, that might have made it easier on me, but I'll try my best to pick 5.
Here are my top 5:
1) The Elephant Man (I was so angry at all the horrible people who ridiculed him)
2) Mask (Eric Stolz) (Reminded me a lot of The Elephant Man)
3) Radio Flyer (I wanted to save these boys)
4) Titanic (Mostly when they show all the poor people/kids who have no hope)
5) My Girl (Every time I watch this movie, I want to change the ending)
I'm a big softy anyway, but these are my top 5 weepies:
1) The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde (Made into an animated video short which you can find on YouTube. Find the version narrated by Christopher Plummer) I defy anyone not to weep uncontrollably at the end scene. 2) Watership Down. Again, the final scene will break your heart. 3) The Elephant Man. For all the reasons stated above. 4) A.I. No, I'm not crazy.... The final scene is quite literally, heart wrenching in my humble opinion. 5) Love Story. A touching, yet heartbreaking ending.
One of only two films I've given a 10/10 to was The Elephant Man. (The other was 2001: A Space Odyssey.)
I will likely only ever watch this film once in my lifetime. It's impact was unmatched, and I've never felt so emotionally drained after watching a film. I don't ever want to see it again because my original experience with The Elephant Man was unparalleled, and I'd hate to diminish the impact it had in any way.
Nice guy? I don't give a sh_t. Good father? F_ck you! Go home and play with your kids.
There is no other movie I can think of that made me sob convulsively like this one. I viewed it again recently and luckily I was alone at the time and could let it all out. I've never wept so much during a film and don't believe I ever will.
