Which do you prefer? I noticed quite a few similarities between the two movies. Personally I find Happy Gilmore funnier, Caddyshack was an okay comedy but wasn't as hilarious, and I found the Bill Murray sections kind of boring.

shareHappy Gilmore by a country mile. And I haven't even seen Caddyshack. But by extrapolation of every other comedy that I've seen from the 80s, Caddyshack will at most be mildly amusing in a few parts. Possibly, it will be a more well-crafted movie, but as far as the funnier comedy, it won't come close. I have spoken and thus it is so!
