What would be the modern equivalent of Barbara Billingsley's cameo

Barbara Billingsley's cameo as the old white lady who translates for the jive talking black guys was both extremely funny and shocking because of her wholesome, saccharine, white-bread image as Mrs. June Cleaver. I do however suspect that the whole jive talking characters would be hard to stomach in this day and age due to SJWs using social media to chastise it for being too politically incorrect.

Betty White?

Ebonics instead of Jive?

Or maybe rap?

Martha Stewart

Perfect.

It was absurd in its day. The whole jive thing was those two guys' comedy act, sending up the unrealistic way that people were shown to talk in blaxploitation flicks.

It's been done recently and nobody complained. Stop inventing stuff for "SJW"s to hypothetically object to.

That was one of my favorite parts, next to the scared woman being slapped by everyone. I did not realize that was Mrs. Cleaver until a few years ago.

Marion Ross (Mrs Cunningham on Happy Days)

Having Taylor Swift do it is probably the only way this scene would go over in 2023

reply

PC Police would never allow it to happen in this day and age.
