shareWhat did you expect? There's just not that much to say about this movie. Most of us should know that its a remake of the 1922 classic. I mean, almost every scene in the original is in this remake. I honestly think this is better than the original though.
It really needed color to make it work, as the original fell a little short for me. The original is rather bland in my view but this version seems more appropriate for this style of film-making, its a very campy film yet has a satirical feel too it. Although, a complete overhaul of this movie would probably work today. Sure, the way film-making is today, you simply wouldn't do a frame by frame remake of this but in my opinion you could do something pretty close to it and just change several things about it and make a rather dynamic film. But then again, we probably have enough vampire films as is... lol.
I'm satisfied with the following vampy films -
In fact, I think these are the top 3 vampire films, not sure we really need anymore -
Dracula (1979)
Interview With The Vampire (1994)
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
No. Byzantium.
share1979 film of Dracula is the best? Not even close. Best vampire film is Sharkula
shareSo post something interesting then
shareI never thought I'd be saying such a thing on a Dracula board, but this reminds me of the people after a natural disaster bitching to the camera about how no one has come to help them. Bitch, turn around and start picking things up.
I'm from Florida, so I'm sensitive to this. After a storm, everyone tends to get out at first chance with their chainsaws and trash bags and start clearing down trees, limbs, and debris. Then we turn on the TV and see the coverage of the people that don't want to do shit for themselves. All complaining about how they're underprivileged and no one will help. "Look at these conditions we're living in!" Well fucker, start cleaning. Jesus.
The worst I ever heard of it was a boat of refugees on their way out of an active war zone and a news service found some people (again: refugees) on board who were complaining about the quality of the sandwiches they were being given. So get off the boat, then.
shareI'm in Fort Lauderdale so I know what you mean
