What did you expect? There's just not that much to say about this movie. Most of us should know that its a remake of the 1922 classic. I mean, almost every scene in the original is in this remake. I honestly think this is better than the original though.

It really needed color to make it work, as the original fell a little short for me. The original is rather bland in my view but this version seems more appropriate for this style of film-making, its a very campy film yet has a satirical feel too it. Although, a complete overhaul of this movie would probably work today. Sure, the way film-making is today, you simply wouldn't do a frame by frame remake of this but in my opinion you could do something pretty close to it and just change several things about it and make a rather dynamic film. But then again, we probably have enough vampire films as is... lol.
