What did you think about this movie
I thought this was a pretty decent movie about Cuba, not all american anti-Fidel, like some other.

great underrated movie, forgotten i think (because it portrays a revolution?)
shareYes is slow. Mixed feelings about it as filming. Sort of a low version of big budget Reds years later. The two key players are ok for their fans. Just lacks juice compared to a Bond fun fest or even an Our Man in Havana for that brand of tension and uniqueness.
Give it a 6.5/10 since could have been more and shorter. Not awful or anything like that. It scratches surface of both sides as mentioned but lack tone and body.
I mean after seeing a Lone Survivor, Argo or (1996) From Dusk Till Dawn my expectation level is pretty high right now. Approached with a lower set of values then Cuba bookiness can be handled ok. Captures sense of high/low privilege that led to the revolution. Lesson maybe for the ongoing Great Divide in US since Great Recession began. Better off to buy off the people with meaningful change rather than peanuts.
Good line in beginning about how everybody in this country is on the take. Well same can be said for US.

I liked it. I thought Brooke Adams was absolutely to die for in it, so that helps. I'm a huge cigar fan, so it would've helped a ton if they could've filmed in Cuba, but we all know why they couldn't.
shareThere is a bench-mark that I apply mentally to films. Is it good enough to get me to watch it again? This one doesn't measure up.
shareI thought it was pretty enjoyable with Sean Connery being his usual awesome self.
shareIt was okay for the most part
