What did you think about this movie
I thought this was a pretty decent movie about Cuba, not all american anti-Fidel, like some other.

Well, its quite understandable that they weren't actually able to film in Cuba.

CUBA is an intriguing movie. It actually took me several viewings before I realized it was a good film... it's slowly paced, so I think I got bored the first few times. The last time I watched it, something clicked. It's a flavorful, intricate look at 1959 Havana and the political turmoil surrounding the Castro Revolution. It's interesting also to see both points of view (pro- Castro or pro-Batista), although it seems to me, though I am no expert on this era in history, that neither leader was that great for the Cuban people... Castro certainly has not been. It's definitely worth checking out! Plus, Brooke Adams is great, one of my favorite actresses.

I know this was ages ago but I fins it hilarious that 'jizake' singled out Castro as the most obviously bad out of the two! Great stuff!
I liked this film; despite it not being popular in Cuba itself (too close to the events chronologically?) it isn't anti-Revolutionary and pro-Batista like many US films. Quite underrated.
"The game's afoot!"
Visually appealling, early storyline was very promising, then it became a shootout maze of characters and eventually ended in nothingness. It went from top 5 for the first 15 to not worth recommending after that.

shareGREAT FILM..SEAN CONNERY EXELENT
shareOne line in particular has stuck with me over the years: "Let's go out and see a little of Havana." What makes it hilarious is the fact that the two accountants for Batista were so immersed in doing his books that they forgot about the revolution going on in the streets.
