Why Didn't Chief Phillips Want a Playmate (Redux)?

When Willard makes a deal so that his men can spend some time with the playmates of the year, Chief Phillips declines and says "You got mommas in there?" The implication I got was that he only liked black women, or that he felt he was too old for playmates, but either way it's kind of rushed and not really explained well. Just wanted to hear what others thought?

Momma San = Asian chicks.

She was with Willard, though that was not shown.

Momma San = Asian chicks.

Wrong, Momma San = 1 ancient Asian woman, dried out like prune

From the urban dictionary:
The stereotypical mama is a large voluptuous black woman with a powerful voice and a dominant personality. Her mere presence can defuse a tense situation and bring a castrating truce to male-generated violence.

This was FFC's way of saying a castrating truce needed to be brought to the male-generated violence that was the Viet Nam War. Too bad there weren't any mamas upriver. 
